"It takes courage to endure the sharp pains of self-discovery rather than choose to take the dull pain of unconsciousness that would last the rest of our lives."

Marianne Williamson

Rates and Insurance

Rates

I offer therapeutic services at a rate of $190 for a 50-minute session and $285 for a 75-minute couples session. Payment is accepted via credit cards at the time of your appointment. While I do not bill insurance directly, I can provide a superbill at the end of each month. This superbill can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

I recommend contacting the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your specific out-of-network therapy benefits and to get details on how to file an out-of-network reimbursement claim.

Additionally, I occasionally have income-based sliding scale spots available. If you are interested in learning more about these openings or any other details, please fill out a secure contact form on my website.

Superbills

A superbill is a detailed invoice that outlines the services provided to a client. Therapists may need to generate a superbill when they are not covered by a client's insurance panel. The client then submits the superbill directly to the insurance company, providing all the necessary information for the insurer to process the claim.

Why I Currently Do Not Accept Insurance

Many therapists, including myself, face the reality that accepting insurance reimbursements can hinder our ability to provide the high-quality care our clients deserve. It is important to clarify how therapy fees are structured. A substantial portion goes toward essential business expenses, including owner income taxes and overhead costs such as website maintenance, marketing, ongoing training, consultation, and robust HIPAA-compliant communication platforms.

Furthermore, the dedication of a private practice therapist extends well beyond the sessions themselves. A significant amount of time is allocated to vital tasks, such as documentation, scheduling, administrative work, and marketing, to ensure that we deliver the best possible care to our clients.
