“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, "This is what it is to be happy.”

Sylvia Plath

About Tracy -Rose

Hi, I'm Tracy-Rose!

I am truly glad to have you here! Since empathy and openness are so important on our therapeutic journey, I'd love to share a little about myself. My path to becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) has been shaped by my own life experiences. Growing up, I faced many challenges that taught me not just to survive but to ultimately thrive.

I get what it feels like to be trapped and to struggle with feeling like you have no choices. We all have moments when we feel lost, lonely, or even let down by those who should have been there for us. I have been there too, feeling overwhelmed and unsure if I could keep going with the way things were. And I completely understand how hard it can be to ask for help and support when you need it most. I am here to walk this path with you!

Thanks to certain individuals, particularly a few influential women in my life, I have received the mental and emotional support that has enabled me to help others. I can honestly admit that I could not have achieved this on my own. I tried for a while, but I kept facing the same results. These failures only increased my feelings of shame and low self-worth. I needed someone outside of myself who could see and believe in me in ways I didn't trust or know were possible. I could not be where I am today without having taken the risk to allow myself to be supported by others, gradually at first, and eventually fully.

I am currently continuing the healing journey I began in 2005. In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English and Creative Writing. After taking a break to raise my son, I returned to the academic and healing world in 2016 to pursue my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology. In 2019, I decided to pursue a Doctorate in Integrative Studies and Healing Practices while also working towards my license to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I am writing my dissertation on the theme of the orphan, both symbolically and literally, intending to complete it by the end of 2025.

I enjoy cliché sunset walks on the beach, listening to good music,  writing poetry, and the joyful snorts and tail wags of my pug. Home brings me comfort, and I make a point to connect with different aspects of Mother Nature regularly, as she is my true sanctuary. I also continue to practice my spirituality and seek new knowledge in my field of healing. I believe it's essential to recognize when to rest and when to pursue further growth and learning.
